Booking Issue at Orchard Park Travelodge in Cambridge I am currently staying at the Travelodge in Orchard Park, Cambridge, with reservation number [redacted]. Unfortunately, I am dissatisfied with the service, not because of the staff, who are doing their best, but due to being short 80% of cleaning staff. Our room has not been serviced for 11 days despite multiple requests. Additionally, we have experienced issues such as a broken remote control, empty shower gel, and a delay in addressing these problems due to management being in isolation. We do not feel that the situation is being managed proactively. Although we were scheduled to stay until January 3rd, we are now planning to check out tomorrow, the 30th, and make alternative accommodation arrangements due to the staffing issues. We are aware of the non-refundable nature of our booking but feel that the current circumstances make it impossible for us to stay any longer.

My partner, her elderly father with dementia, and I had booked a room at the Workington Travelodge for a 28-day stay and an additional room for New Year's. After just six days in the room, I returned to the property yesterday and was accused of smoking by the staff. The smoke alarm allegedly went off, but there was no smoke or indication of it in the room. We were asked to leave, leaving my partner's father alone in the hotel. I then had to book another hotel for £60 a night. Today, when retrieving our belongings, another staff member mentioned issues with the alarms in rooms [redacted] to [redacted]. I believe I should be compensated for the additional expenses as I had already paid £[redacted].82 for the initial booking and had to pay another £[redacted] due to the false accusation of smoking.

On June 20, [redacted], I reserved 5 rooms in Hull for a party that got canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic. They offered a refund or voucher, and I selected vouchers hoping the pandemic would end soon. Unfortunately, due to financial challenges caused by the pandemic, I now need a refund instead. When I called for a refund, they directed me to contact them via live chat here.

I booked a stay at the Travelodge Blackpool Promenade through Agoda for June 25 and 26. Unfortunately, I am unable to go due to work constraints as a nurse. My manager has denied the time off due to a shortage of nurses. While I understand the booking is non-refundable, the situation was out of my control. I am willing to incur any cancellation charges that may apply. Could you please assist me in reaching out to Agoda to request a partial refund under these circumstances? Thank you for your help in advance. - Camille.

I made a reservation at your Bakersfield Travelodge for April 30 to May 2. When I arrived at 5:30 to check-in, I was told my room had been given to someone else, despite prepaying three nights earlier. They offered me an upgrade, which turned out to be a downgrade from the handicap accessible room I reserved. After waiting outside for 3 and a half hours without receiving a voucher, I had to sleep in my car. The staff member was unhelpful and the replacement room was subpar with a smoke smell and torn bedspread. I am disappointed as a senior citizen who paid $[redacted] and cannot afford to lose this money. I urgently request a refund and hope to speak to someone about this issue.

Subject: Formal Complaint About Recent Stay at Elephant & Castle London Travelodge I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at the Travelodge hotel in Elephant & Castle, London. My stay took place from March 20th to March 26th, initially for 4 nights and extended for 2 more nights. On the 4th day of my stay, I requested room cleaning and bedding/towel change, but upon return, nothing had been done. Despite being told the housekeepers had left for the day, the receptionist offered bedding and towels for me to change myself. This was unacceptable. I have attached a video showing my girlfriend making the bed at 10.00pm, a task that should have been handled by the housekeeping staff in the morning. This level of customer service is not what I expect from a reputable hotel chain. I seek an explanation for this incident and actions to be taken to rectify it. Looking forward to your prompt response. Regards, A. Zahui

I stayed at Travelodge Ealing W5 from 30/05 for four nights initially. When I tried to extend my stay on 2nd June, I faced language issues with the staff member over the phone. I ended up being booked for only two nights instead of three as requested. Additionally, there was confusion about my booking when I returned to my room one day. The receptionist dropped clean towels on the floor without any protection, which was unhygienic. The hotel staff seemed untrained and lacked professionalism. Despite these issues, when I tried to get dinner at the hotel with my family, the chef was unavailable, leading us to order from PizzaExpress at our own expense. The internet was also not working, and I was given a number to call to fix it instead of the hotel addressing the problem. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience and feel the hotel needs improvements in customer service and operations. I hope to hear back from the management to address these issues.

Upon arrival at Docklands Travelodge, we were informed of the hot water issue and asked to wait in the restaurant. After a two-hour wait, we were able to access our clean room. Later, at the bar, there were limited drink options, and the restroom was locked. When my keycard didn't work, the receptionist was unhelpful. Breakfast the next day was disappointing with diluted orange juice and missing items. Despite complaints and promises of a refund by Friday, I have yet to receive it.

I stayed at Travelodge Loughborough Central last Tuesday and Wednesday (19th and 20th July 22). We had previously booked these two nights online and paid a charge of £[redacted].98, which we found a bit excessive. Yesterday, we checked the rates for this coming Tuesday and Wednesday (26th and 27th July 22) on the Travelodge website and found it only costs £[redacted].98. The significant price difference made me think there might be a mistake in the pricing. I am certain we only booked the two nights last week, and I would like to claim a refund for the discrepancy. Room number [redacted], J. Diggins.

Close to midnight on the 11th of July, we approached the receptionist seeking a room and parking spot. We planned, informed the receptionist, and intended to return after getting our car for booking and secure parking. There was a payment issue requiring my husband to transfer funds and charge his phone. Unfortunately, just past midnight, we were unable to check-in due to the system constraints, forcing us to find an alternative. The receptionist was aware of our situation and kindly provided a list of nearby hotels accepting late reservations. Regrettably, we overlooked the possibility of a parking charge for not checking in on time. We anticipated a £7 nightly fee upon check-in, having parked on the street temporarily to secure accommodation. Despite trying various hotels, we had to return home to London empty-handed, resulting in an unexpected parking fine from Horizon.

I am dissatisfied with our current stay at Travelodge in Fleet, Hampshire, and wish to relocate to a different location. We initially stayed at the Travelodge in Bracknell, which was excellent. Unfortunately, this Travelodge in Fleet is old, noisy, unwelcoming, and lacks onsite facilities like breakfast, a bar, or a restaurant. This experience has deeply disappointed us, especially as my wife, suffering from depression, is profoundly affected by the conditions at this hotel. We would greatly appreciate being able to return to Bracknell, even if we need to pay a small premium for the switch. Sincerely, Mick Rowan

During my stay at the Travelodge in Bracknell Central on London Road, specifically in room [redacted], I had a concerning incident on the morning of the 13th. As I returned to the hotel at 4:30 am after work, I inadvertently stepped on a syringe needle that was on the carpet of my room. While preparing for a shower, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my foot as I turned around by the desk, and upon inspection, I found a hollow needle lodged in my foot. I quickly removed the needle, washed the wound, and then contacted the hotel front desk. Hemata was very supportive and took a photo of the needle for documentation. He advised me to meet with the assistant manager later that morning to discuss changing rooms. At the hospital, it was determined that the needle posed a risk of hepatitis B due to its likely use for drug-related activities. I underwent immediate blood tests and have scheduled follow-ups with my GP on the 26th of January, 13th of April, and 13th of July for monitoring.

I tried to book a room at Travelodge Mansfield Town Center for the 2nd of February but was told it was booked for the 10th, with no rooms available. The refund process was only possible the next morning. I then booked a room at another Travelodge, but upon arrival, it was actually booked for the 2nd of April instead of March 2nd, with no available rooms for that night. The refund was not possible until the following morning. As a result, I had no choice but to sleep at McDonald's with no other alternative. This occurred four days ago, and I'm experiencing difficulty obtaining a refund. Can someone from Travelodge please assist?

I'm currently at Bakersfield Travelodge. I initially checked in early on the 5th at midnight but had to switch to a different room due to a lot of traffic noise from the room next to mine. After moving to the second room, a group of loud individuals followed and joined the person next door. Despite my complaints to the front desk, the noise persisted with more people parking outside the window of the neighboring room. I ended up spending a significant amount of money on two rooms in one day, and I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience.

I recently contacted your office and was advised to reach out via email regarding my booking. My booking confirmation number is [redacted] at Travelodge: Central Broadway Plaza, Birmingham, reserved for May 18th and 19th. I actually need to stay at the Travelodge closest to NEC Birmingham, which is Travelodge, Birmingham Airport for the same dates. I apologize for the confusion as I was preoccupied and anxious due to a family member's illness when making the booking. After checking today, I realized Central Broadway Plaza is far from the National Exhibition Centre. I kindly request to change my booking and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. I eagerly await your response. Best regards, M. Scrimgeour, IG9 6JT. Sent from my iPhone.

I made a reservation at Travelodge on Moor Street for one night yesterday. Unfortunately, I forgot my passport but had relevant identification on my phone. The staff refused to consider it, stating that physical identification is required, though I did not see this in the terms and conditions. I have used a photo of my identification successfully before. I was left without accommodation and no assistance from the staff. I am requesting a full refund as the staff's lack of help and rudeness left me stranded.

On 6/6/23, I reserved a room at Travelodge London in Luton with the postcode LU4 8RQ. I arrived late around 3 am feeling tired and cold, hoping to take a shower. However, I was shocked to find a room that smelled of urine, soiled towels, a dirty sink, grimy shower taps, and a messed-up bed. It was unsettling to think about using items that seemed contaminated with someone else's waste. Despite trying, I couldn't reach Travelodge as there is no email provided. This disappointing experience cost me £72.00 for less than 4 hours, leaving me unable to shower or rest comfortably.

I accidentally made a booking for an 8-night stay at the Travelodge Retford Markham Moor instead of the Maidstone Kent Travelodge for next month. I booked the wrong dates, and I am unable to stay in the north due to travel constraints. I am hoping for a refund as I cannot afford to lose this money. My confirmation number is: [redacted]. Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

During our stay at a Travel Lodge in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 13, my boyfriend and I encountered several issues. Despite confirming online that the hotel was pet-friendly, we were charged $20 more than the online rate when we arrived. The room we received was dirty, with a strong odor of cat feces, and we found no ice available on the premises in the morning. Housekeeping tried to enter our room early, and when we requested a late check-out, we were denied. When my boyfriend addressed our concerns about the room condition and discrepancies in pricing with the office manager, a confrontation ensued with the owner, who brandished a knife at us. Police were called, and the owner was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Despite resolving the extra charge for the pet fee, we were not reimbursed for the stay or compensated for the ordeal. We are now required to return for a court appearance and are seeking a refund and some form of compensation from Travel Lodge for the distress caused.
