Hello, I scheduled an appointment with Ty at Hey Girl Studio on 2/25/21. I was charged $1.00 on my debit card for this appointment. I canceled on the same day as per your policy, which allows cancellations within 24 hours. However, as of today, 2/27/21, I have not received a refund of the $1.00. I know that stylists can initiate refunds, but when I contacted Ty about this, she was unhelpful and directed me to call StyleSeat for assistance, even though there is no available contact number provided. First, my card was supposed to be charged $1 to hold the spot at 12 am, but $[redacted] was deducted automatically, not allowing me to cancel my appointment. I drove 45 minutes to a stylist and was disappointed with the outcome. The work didn't resemble the photos she showed me. I provided three colors for my child's hair, yet she didn't have enough hair or space to work comfortably. Due to this, I had to sit in my car due to my sciatica. When my daughter came out, I noticed the braids were stiff and had hair sticking out, indicating she might have burned the hair. Despite asking for soft locs, the result was unsatisfactory. I requested a refund, originally asking for $80, but after the stylist failed to send it through Cash App as promised, I posted a review. She nonchalantly mentioned creating a new page, showing no concern for the poor service. This was not a practice session but a paid service, and it's unfair for her to ignore my request for a refund.

I scheduled a phone consultation with Step the barber through StyleSeat. I made it clear that my phone won't ring for numbers not in my contacts due to scam protection. I reached out multiple times via email to confirm the phone number Step would be calling from but received no response. When I tried calling the listed number [redacted], I couldn't leave a voicemail as it said the voicemail wasn't set up. Surprisingly, my card was charged $30 for a consultation that never took place. I expect a full refund within 48 hours, or I will escalate this issue to the Consumer Protection office and the State Attorney General.

Recently, I have been unable to log in as it is prompting to send a code to an outdated email address I no longer have access to. Given that I have not updated my contact information due to always being logged in, the email and phone number associated with the account are outdated. I urgently need to access my account to manage my business and client appointments. Despite reaching out to support and providing verification details such as my card information and client details as requested, I have not yet received a response. This delay is causing me significant distress as I depend on my StyleSeat account for my business operations. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Lately, I've encountered issues when booking appointments on StyleSeat. After selecting a provider, choosing a time slot, and entering my credit card information, I repeatedly receive an error message prompting me to verify my card details. Despite double-checking and trying different cards, the problem persists even though my cards are valid. To resolve this, the service provider had to manually schedule my appointment, and I was able to pay using the same card without any issues. I made an appointment at BK Salon and Beauty Lounge with Brittany Kindred for 2:30 pm. When I arrived, she was lying down with eyelash pads due to swollen eyes. Brittany seemed unaware of the appointment, making me wait. Despite feeling frustrated about the lack of professionalism, Brittany mentioned waiting for her coworker to remove her lashes. She then rudely suggested finding another stylist. When I tried to find someone else, Brittany asked me to leave and delete my information. She assured no charges but became aggressive. I had an appointment booked with a specific hair professional whom I had researched thoroughly. Despite receiving multiple text confirmations from her, I was surprised to find out halfway through my appointment that another stylist was working on my hair. I only discovered this when I directly asked for the stylist's name. I had intended to leave a negative review regarding the lack of transparency, but the stylist ended up canceling my appointment on StyleSeat before I could do so. I believe it's important to receive the service you booked, and I am disappointed that I was not informed beforehand about the change.

I am the mother of a 21-year-old stylist who receives bookings through your platform. Recently, a client named Stephanie Rowe targeted my daughter by using a false name to book an appointment. When my daughter couldn't meet Stephanie's preferred time, offering alternatives, Stephanie became hostile, canceling the appointment and harassing my daughter online and in person. Stephanie made hurtful comments, posted slanderous remarks with my daughter's photo, and even threatened harm by mentioning my daughter's deceased brother. The situation escalated with Stephanie receiving a refund using someone else's credit card and attempting to shut down my daughter's business profiles. We are seeking assistance from the authorities and hope for advice or guidance from your team at Styles Seat. This relentless harassment is distressing for my daughter and me, affecting her pursuit of owning a business. We appreciate any support in resolving this issue promptly. Thank you.

I had a booking with Hairlious at 2pm on August 6. Upon arriving on time for my appointment, I found the stylist still attending to another client at the washing bowl, causing a delay. By 2:20pm, she hadn't begun working on my hair and was instead blow-drying someone else's. When I inquired about my 2pm appointment, she informed me that she needed to wash my hair before providing the service, despite this not being mentioned on her website. I explained that I had already washed my hair that morning. The stylist insisted that washing was mandatory, including a consultation, which again was not listed on her website. Frustrated by her unpreparedness, delay, and insistence on washing my hair against my wishes, I requested to cancel. However, she mentioned that Style Seat would charge me $25 for the cancellation, which seemed unfair given the circumstances.

Hello Style Seat, I had a troubling experience with Nika Streater for braids recently. She was significantly late, spent very little time on my hair, and ultimately chose not to complete the service. I was left with unfinished hair, disappointed by the entire ordeal. While I was not charged, I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, I am unable to leave a review on her profile as she deleted the appointment. I believe it is important for others to be aware of these situations. This occurrence is unprecedented in my decade of using the service, and I seek guidance on preventing future booking fees from being imposed.

After getting my hair done on StyleSeat, I ensured the stylist received payment. On my way home, she asked for an additional payment via Cash App, claiming technical issues. She said she refunded me through the app, but I got charged again. When I realized she tried to scam me by double-charging, she got rude, pushing for more money. I solely wanted a refund, which I stated multiple times. Once she finally refunded my money after being caught, I ceased communication and didn't send extra money. She threatened to expose my information online when I refused to pay her twice for one service. I turned off my card to stop her manipulations. Bogus.

I received a cancellation notification for cornrows from my regular stylist at 2pm, but last night after 8pm, I was informed it was canceled at 12:30. My stylist claims she emailed me (an email I don't check) although I got a visual confirmation for 2pm. Please do not charge me since this feels like fraud or a system error. My stylist didn't contact me despite being my regular stylist and the booking was a cancellation at 2pm, not a new appointment for 12:30. I live close by, so it's disappointing she didn't suggest I come in.

I made an appointment with Shanice for crochet braids in Philadelphia on Thursday, Sept 16 at 11 am, but she requested to reschedule to 2 pm on the same day. Shanice instructed me to arrive with washed hair and provided a different address than listed. Shanice contacted me last minute to confirm the type of hair I was using, apologizing for the confusion. She then asked to push the appointment to 3 pm due to running behind schedule, displaying unprofessional behavior. When I arrived at 2:51 pm at the new address, Shanice was unreachable, and the location was locked. Despite trying to contact her multiple times, there was no response and my texts remain undelivered. The missed call from Shanice at 6:07 pm further added to the confusion. Upon checking the app, my appointment disappeared, making me suspect a scam. It's disheartening to encounter such dishonesty, especially during challenging times like these.

I had an appointment with a stylist for today at 2 pm EST. Initially, the stylist requested to reschedule for 5 pm via text, to which I agreed. However, they then asked to move the appointment to Monday, which I couldn't accommodate due to prior commitments. I suggested Tuesday after 4:30 as an alternative, but then the stylist insisted on a $25 deposit despite the service cost being $45. Feeling uncomfortable, I asked to cancel, to which I received a rude response. Now, the stylist has my credit card information, and despite my cancellation request, I got notified by StyleSeat about charging the tip to my card. I had an appointment scheduled with Flawless Pink Studios LLC. on 8/27/21 with Remmie but unfortunately, she did not provide the service after I arrived. Despite multiple attempts to reach her, she did not respond until much later. The appointment was for $[redacted]. She operates out of her apartment in Plano and does not have a proper salon. Upon arrival, she was unresponsive and did not fulfill the appointment. I have reached out to my card company to dispute the charge based on the lack of service provided. I have attached text messages showing her unresponsiveness and lack of service on the scheduled date. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
