On April 27, I was scammed out of $[redacted] through a fraudulent Zelle account that was set up in my name. M&T Bank notified me about the situation, and I immediately contacted them. Despite their efforts, they were only able to stop two of the transfers and not the first one. I have attempted to dispute these charges multiple times, but I keep being told that I set up the account and authorized the transfers. This is not true as I never created an account or approved any transfers. M&T Bank has now declined further disputes, even though I clearly explained that I didn't set up the account or authorize any transactions. The report filed by their agent contains inaccuracies. How can I go about disputing this effectively?

I recently received a notification that my password was changed, but I did not make this change. I believe this may be related to the merging of Peoples and M & T. Concerned about possible fraudulent activity, I immediately contacted M & T. Sadly, the wait time exceeded an hour. Is this a sign of things to come under M & T? I am reconsidering my choice to proceed with this partnership. I understand the challenges that come with such transitions, but M & T's change management team should have foreseen this issue and increased call center availability during the transition period. I recently opened a business account and deposited an $18,[redacted] check which was initially put on hold by the issuing bank. After the check was returned, I deposited a replacement check on the 14th. The funds from the original check have been released but are currently unavailable in my account until September 23rd. This delay is causing me significant inconvenience as I need to send a $9,[redacted] check for a property purchase today and demonstrate proof of funds to the underwriter. Failing to meet these obligations may jeopardize the deal. I request urgent assistance to unlock my account and make the funds accessible to avoid any legal action. Your prompt resolution of this matter would be greatly appreciated to prevent any further complications.

I am frustrated by an error made at the Shamokin branch, where a teller mistakenly disputed my SSDI deposit from last month. Despite being assured it would be resolved, my account remains incorrect, leading to my pay being taken this month. After a long day of trying to fix this, I was promised my money back by 3:30, but the branch has closed, and I am still without funds. This mistake has left me in a difficult situation where I risk losing my home due to being unable to make my house payment. The bank's error is unfairly impacting me, and I am at a loss for what steps to take next.

After M&T acquired Peoples, I encountered issues with Big Y checks not being visible in my account. Despite contacting M&T and not finding the checks, they were returned for insufficient funds, resulting in $60 worth of penalties from Big Y. The Attorney General of Connecticut intervened, and M&T agreed to refund the charges. I visited the local Woodbridge bank where I was advised to get refunded for M&T's error, but they were unsure of the process. The manager, Scott, needs to figure out how to proceed, and I will also inform the Attorney General. I am disappointed by M&T's service compared to Peoples United Bank and am now searching for a new trustworthy bank. Hopefully, M&T will honor their commitment and refund the $60.00.

I am experiencing a distressing situation where my identity has been compromised, and my account history has vanished, possibly resulting in a substantial sum being stolen. Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to obtain any information or statements regarding this issue. I fear that a considerable amount has been unlawfully taken. The thought of someone having not only my personal details but also possibly resembling me physically is deeply unsettling. It is alarming to me that I could have unwittingly been involved in spending thousands of dollars and ended up in the hospital. I request urgent assistance from a supervisor to address this matter promptly. Hello, this is La Tesha Tillman. My bank card was stolen, and I have already requested a new one. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to contact the branch where I have my account, M&T on Union Rd in Buffalo, NY, due to my work schedule. There have been unauthorized withdrawals totaling $[redacted] to a Cash App account I don't have access to, leaving my account overdrawn by $[redacted].50. Additionally, my paycheck was also taken this morning. I am requesting the return of the $[redacted] and $[redacted] that were taken. If I am unable to recover my funds, I will need to consider switching to a different bank.

I made an error by parking in an MTB parking lot in New Jersey this past Saturday. Instead of having my car towed, they locked it in the parking area. My family and I, not being local to New Jersey (but M&T customers), are currently heading back to Maryland without a way to get home. Retrieving the car would have been simpler if it had been towed. Now, we are left trying to figure out our transportation back. Unfortunately, when I called the bank's branch manager's office, they abruptly hung up on me without allowing me to leave a message. This situation has caused a lot of inconvenience for us. I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.

I encountered an issue with a home loan escrow overage check due to a name discrepancy. The loan is registered under my full name, Armand James, though I commonly go by James. Upon attempting to mobile deposit the check, my bank rejected it. The check is signed and designated for mobile deposit, making cashing it by other means challenging. I am considering opening a checking account with you under the name James to deposit this check and then possibly transfer some funds to my other bank until I receive a debit card. As the Program Leader for ELA K-5 in Trumbull Public Schools, I've heard about M & T's support for employees volunteering in the community. Each year, TPS hosts Read Aloud where community members read books to students. The Rotary Club generously provides books matching a theme for each classroom. Would M&T consider allowing volunteers to participate in Read Aloud? The event spans over mid-October on two days. We host a preparation session showing volunteers the books and how to read with the children, lasting about an hour. On Read Aloud Day, we start with welcomes in the 6 elementary schools with light refreshments. Then the volunteers go to classrooms to read, taking around an hour. Your assistance would greatly enhance this community event.

Good afternoon, I visited your downtown White Plains branch at [redacted] Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, NY on Monday, April 17th to renew a CD ending in the numbers [redacted] with Trisha Barnett. I opted for the 4.5% interest for one year promotional rate. Upon checking my account online, I noticed that it got renewed for 0.03% with a maturity date on 10/15/[redacted]. Ms. Barnett mentioned that the correct rate would be entered by the back office, but it hasn't been updated yet, even though it's been 3 days since my visit. I am disappointed to share that M&T Bank in Peterborough, NH, no longer provides a public restroom. Despite it being closed during the pandemic, it is disheartening to see a permanent "Employees Only" sign on the door. This lack of access to a restroom seems to convey a lack of respect for customers, especially considering other banks and local businesses offer this amenity. As a customer for over 60 years, since the bank was Peterborough Savings Bank, I feel undervalued by this change. My name is Gedion Stephen. I am a victim of digital ATM fraud. My ATM debit card was fraudulently used at the M & T bank branch located at [redacted] Baltimore national pike, Catonsville, MD [redacted]. Last night, my debit card was used at an ATM in this branch while I had it physically with me in Gaithersburg, MD. I am certain that the location has cameras to monitor activities around the branch. I have contacted the employees there, but they appear to be dismissive. This incident took place around 9:41 pm on 05/15/[redacted] at the M & T Bank Catonsville branch. I recently deposited money into the ATM. The cash door opened and closed multiple times, prompting me to take cash that was not deposited, which was not there. I managed to take a picture of the error. Following that, a message appeared stating there were too many attempts to retrieve my card, and I was unable to capture that error as I frantically pressed buttons. It's been 2 hours into a federal holiday, and I am now without my card or the cash. This ATM has been malfunctioning for several weeks, and I urgently require my card back.

My recent experience with M & T's Customer Service has left me frustrated. The aftermath of the merger from a few years ago was chaotic, and the ongoing renovations at the downtown Beverly location have made things even more inconvenient. The lack of parking and long walks in bad weather have been a hassle. To add to my troubles, the Cummings Ctr branch closed, further limiting my banking options. Discovering that the ATM at Cummings Ctr was also gone was the final straw for me. Despite my small accounts, I've had enough of the inconsiderate treatment.
