My neighbor created an Xbox Live account for me before moving away without sharing the password. This account was set up 3 years and 12 months ago, and I've enjoyed playing online games on it. Unfortunately, I'm unable to sign in now due to not knowing the password. Despite trying various solutions provided by Microsoft, none have been successful in assisting me in recovering my account. This situation has been incredibly frustrating, as I am not attempting any illegitimate access, and I can provide evidence to verify my ownership of the account.

When I first created my Xbox Live account, I was young and used someone else's email since I didn't have one at the time. Eight years later, I am still a dedicated Xbox and Microsoft supporter. However, I now have my own email and need to switch it for my gaming profile, which I've had for three years. I have tried to contact the current email multiple times with no response. I am unable to verify the email on the Xbox website to make the change myself. I recently got an Xbox One and would like to transfer my Xbox [redacted] account to it. The gamertag for my account is Silenced NANNO. I am providing both the current email associated with the account and the new email for the update. Thank you for your assistance in helping me access my account.

I am having trouble retrieving my security passcode for my account. I have checked both my Yahoo email and text messages, but I can't seem to locate the passcode needed for my Xbox One account. Previously, I could bypass this step by selecting "skip for now," but this option is no longer available. I hold a gold membership and have invested significantly in these products. I would appreciate if you could assist me in resolving this issue promptly.

My son left his Xbox One in power saver mode while he was away for 5 days. Now that he's back, the console won't turn on properly. It seems to be attempting to start with noise and the power button lights up, but then it shuts off. Microsoft has reportedly had similar issues with other customers' devices. We've ruled out the power supply as the cause and have attempted various troubleshooting steps like unplugging everything. Unfortunately, nothing has resolved the problem. The Xbox One was working perfectly before he left, and it's perplexing that it won't power on properly now.

I'm experiencing an issue with my Xbox One S. I recently returned to playing after a few days and noticed that some of my previously installed games were requiring re-downloading. Accidentally cancelling the downloads, I quickly restarted them. However, over the past three days, the download progress has been unusually slow. One game only reached 28% while the other got to 68%. Both games are 10 and 11 gigabytes in size, so the slow installation speed is concerning. Despite resetting my internet connection and router several times, the issue persists. I hope to have this matter resolved promptly so I can download my purchased games at a reasonable speed.

Hello, moderators and hosts, I would like to report issues with hackers on Xbox Live, particularly in Call of Duty Black Ops 2. This has been ruining the game experience for many players, including myself. These hackers, who cheat and kick others out for confronting them, have made it challenging to enjoy the game. Recently, I've noticed strange encrypted messages on my screen, and I fear my system may have been compromised. My gamertag is DuctileWings2, and as a new Xbox Live user, this situation is frustrating. It seems that these individuals continue their unfair practices because there are no consequences from Xbox. I am considering canceling my Live subscription due to this ongoing problem. I hope that there can be a resolution to address the hacking, cheating, and booting issues in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 caused by these rogue players.

I'm having issues playing Black Ops 2 online with my girlfriend since we switched from a PS4 to an Xbox [redacted]. We keep encountering modders who affect our gameplay, making it impossible to shoot them. In a recent game, they tampered with my girlfriend's profile, resetting her rank from 27 to 1. My gamertag is chevy4life3185, and hers is chevygurl1983. Additionally, we experienced being kicked out of games frequently, resulting in me unfairly receiving probation. The prevalence of modding is frustrating and ruining the gaming experience for many players. I hope the situation can be resolved so that we can enjoy online gaming like we used to.

I invested a significant amount of money and time into FIFA 18, only to be cheated out of 1.4 million coins. To put this into perspective, I would have to spend an additional $[redacted] just to acquire that amount in the game. I contacted Electronic Arts, but they claimed there was nothing they could do to assist me. However, this is unacceptable to me given the substantial investment I've made in the game with real money. I urge Microsoft to intervene and not allow companies like EA to simply apologize and brush off such issues. I cannot dismiss this matter after spending approximately $2,[redacted] on the game. I am seeking support and action to address this issue effectively.

I purchased EA Access and encountered difficulties downloading games. Every attempt resulted in freezing my Xbox. The more I tried, the worse it became. I now seek a refund. The EA app appears broken and unusable. This level of product performance is unacceptable. I am disappointed in Xbox. After being a loyal PlayStation supporter for over 15 years, I made the hard decision to switch to Xbox. The initial experience was impressive with game visuals and system functionality. However, I now face issues with broken apps, slow loading times, and other problems absent from my PS4 usage. I am considering returning to PlayStation for a better gaming experience, aside from the lacking mod support.

I am experiencing an issue on my Xbox One with the arrangement of menus in the My Games & Apps section. Before signing in, the menus are in the correct order: Games, Apps, Memberships, Ready to Install, Updates, Queue. However, once I sign in, the order changes to Games, Apps, Ready to Install, Updates, Queue, Gold, with lines under Apps and Queue. The addition of "Gold" under Memberships and the displacement of Memberships to the bottom is a problem. Nothing should be labeled Gold except under Memberships. I have tried various solutions to fix it, but none have worked. This problem only started today as I did not encounter it yesterday.

Upon starting up my Xbox, I tried to access Xbox Live but was informed that my account had been suspended for not renewing my Gold membership. I was surprised as I have been a devoted Xbox [redacted] user since [redacted]. I have always enjoyed using third-party apps like Hulu and Netflix without the need for Gold membership. I haven't renewed my Gold subscription as I don't play multiplayer games. I hope Xbox can rectify this issue promptly, as I believe the access to third-party apps should not require a Gold subscription for Xbox [redacted] users as it has been the case since [redacted]. Please resolve this matter accordingly.

I recently bought an Xbox One S along with the pre-loaded game Sea of Thieves, but I've been facing issues playing it. Despite downloading the game and following the instructions to redeem the code in the Xbox store, I keep getting stuck on a screen prompting me to join Xbox Live Gold. It then requires me to choose a payment option, but when I opt out, I receive an error message saying I cannot join any sessions due to account settings, with an odd message about "avocado beard." This loop prevents me from accessing the game, leading me to believe I need a subscription to play any games, which seems unfair to consumers like me.

I took a break from gaming, sold my Xbox [redacted], and now I want to retrieve my old account, Ihasmanparts. I mainly played Call of Duty and Minecraft on Xbox [redacted]. I'm eager to have my leveled-up Modern Warfare 2 and 3 progress back, as well as revisit the worlds I created on Minecraft with my brother. I can provide any necessary information to verify my ownership of the account. I'm hoping for human assistance as online account recovery methods have not been successful. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am encountering repeated issues with my network. While watching YouTube, I get disconnected for no apparent reason. Despite this, my wifi works fine on other devices, and I'm not using other devices simultaneously with my Xbox [redacted]. In contacting support twice, I was informed that someone else was using my Xbox Live account, even though my Xbox was off. I suspect someone may be using my account on a separate Xbox without my knowledge. I am frustrated with the lack of assistance from the customer support team as they mistakenly claimed my account was active when it wasn't. If my issue is not resolved promptly, I may have to seek legal assistance.

My Xbox One keeps shutting off unexpectedly. It works fine in the menu but shuts down within 5 minutes of starting a game. I was excited to relax with a game after a busy college semester, but it's become frustrating. I bought the 500GB Xbox One on its release day years ago and have enjoyed using it ever since. I planned to save up for the Xbox One X, but now I'm disheartened by the issues with my current console. Despite the frustrations, I remain loyal to Microsoft after over a decade of gaming. It's disappointing that a product I once loved now has this major flaw. Other users have shared similar experiences online, with some switching to Sony's PS4 for a smoother gaming experience at a lower cost. I continue to hope for a solution from Microsoft, as Xbox is where I have many cherished memories and where I want to stay.

After returning from school, I was enjoying my Xbox One games. However, a notification popped up, stating that I have been banned. Upon checking my messages, I discovered someone had used my account to send an inappropriate message. I asked my brother, and he admitted to doing it. I am now in the process of appealing the ban, as I do not want to face consequences for his actions. Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated as I am not at fault in this situation. Thank you.

I received a suspension after defending myself in a game where a player attempted to team kill me. Despite offering supplies, the player persisted and I defended myself, recording the incident. Requesting a prompt removal of the suspension as the other player was unsportsmanlike and even reported for their actions. This incident has impacted my gaming experience, and I expect a resolution, considering my loyalty as an Xbox customer who recently purchased an Xbox X. This situation needs to be addressed to maintain customer satisfaction and avoid further complaints and potential loss of a dedicated customer.

I logged into my Xbox One to play Battlefield 3, which is backwards compatible. Despite having the disc and purchasing it from the store, I am unable to play online due to an error connecting to EA online. I mistakenly re-purchased the game on the store and renewed my Xbox Live Gold subscription, even though I still had a month left on my free subscription. I've attempted various troubleshooting steps like resetting the router and clearing the cache, but the issue persists. This has been a recurring problem since purchasing the system, with only intermittent success in playing online. The situation is incredibly frustrating, and I'm considering returning the Xbox One and switching back to PlayStation.

I recently discovered unauthorized charges on our joint bank account related to my son's Xbox gaming. He mistakenly believed he was using prepaid cards, but they were renewing without his knowledge, resulting in unexpected charges. This system can be confusing for minors and parents alike. Considering the popularity of gaming, it's concerning that a child could incur an $[redacted] bill without our consent. As parents, we support our kids' gaming habits but expect better communication when their prepaid balance runs out. It's important that families are informed before charges are made to their account. I hope this issue can be resolved fairly. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.

This morning, I eagerly awaited the release of San Andreas on the Xbox marketplace. When I couldn’t find it, I decided to purchase it online through Xbox.com from my phone. Even after buying it, the game didn’t appear on my Xbox One. Hours later, it became available for purchase on the marketplace, so I bought it again. However, after installing it, my console claimed I didn’t own the game. Despite restarting the Xbox and attempting to reinstall, the game wasn't in my "ready to install" list. When I checked the marketplace once more, it required me to buy it for a third time. I'm unsure how to proceed. Can you assist me or provide a refund so I can make another attempt at buying it?
